I have to admit I am normally the £1 advent calendar kind of mum and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. But this year, being 2020 and all the restrictions, I wanted to make our December extra special. So I came up with the idea of getting a family advent calendar (chocolate for everyone!) and each day would be a little advent activity. On school days the activities are smaller and less complicated and on the weekends and the holidays, the activities are bigger. Everything on the list is easily do-able for us I didn’t want to complicate things, but I wanted to spread a little bit of extra magic this Christmas.
Most of the bits and pieces I have picked up for the girls have come from bargain shops or I’ve re-used things we already own. And then some bits I’ve made myself. So I thought I would share what we’re doing and feel free to take some inspiration from it! I’m going to be sharing what we get up to each day on my Instagram Stories. So you can see more there as of December 1st.
Below you can find the resources I have made for the girls. All you need is a printer to print them out! I have a printable of all of the activities as cards so if you didn’t want to use them for an advent calendar you could pop them in a jar and pick out one activity each day or as and when you have time. I can’t wait to get started!
