You know I love a birthday party! I love any excuse to decorate and put together some food. We have had bear, boho, cloud and even cat-themed birthday parties. So I thought that I would put together a list of my favourite places to pick up birthday supplies from. From supermarkets to small businesses.
Small Business:
Sam Stitches – The beautiful sparkly gold crown in the photo above is from here. It’s just so pretty. There is also a range of age crowns too. I like the idea of having one crown that is the birthday crown. And every birthday we take it in turns wearing it. Starting a family tradition.
Meg Cat Hooray – My absolute favourite. I think I am Meg’s biggest fan. The banners, hats and badges. Oh and not forgetting cake toppers. Meg is just brilliant for beautiful and reusable party supplies.
Gemima London – This is where I get my fabric numbers for tops from. Beautifully done and not expensive either. You can see how I made a Birthday top here.
Kitty Makes – For the cutest range of cards and wrap.
Other Brands:
Home Bargains – A bit of a hit-and-miss one. Sometimes they have some great bits, plates, napkins, and candles. I even got some cute fairy wands from there before too. But it is a little hit and miss sometimes.
Amazon – Of course. Great for plates, cups, etc. But also great for props. I got the disco balls from there for Edith’s disco party. Also great for last-minute supplies.
Meri Meri – One of my absolute favourite party suppliers. The range of themes is brilliant and I pretty much love every piece.
Ginger Ray – Again another like Meri Meri, Ginger Ray do a fabulous range of Rose Gold items.
eBay – eBay is my go-to for balloons! I’ve always picked them up from here.
Shein – A new one for me. But they have some brilliant party bits. Most of Edith Disco Party decorations came from Shein. You obviously will need to order in advance!
And finally Supermarkets! – They are hit and miss and can have some questionable party supplies but you can also sometimes pick up some wonderful bits.
My advice would be to pick bits up when you see them and stash them away. I now have a party box full of supplies for when we might need them!
