Daisy Flower Pull-apart Cupcake Cake
Servings: 7 people
Ingredients
For the cakes:
- 110 g softened butter
- 110 g caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp milk
For the buttercream:
- 250 g salted butter
- 500 g icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- yellow food colouring
Instructions
- Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and fill a cupcake tray with 7 cases.
- Whisk together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and the flour and mix. Finally add the vanilla extract.
- Spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases and bake for 15 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Leave too cool completely.
- Meanwhile, make your buttercream, by creaming together the butter and icing sugar. You will need to use an electric whisk. Add the milk and vanilla. Separate off a small amount of mixture and add yellow food colouring.
- Arrange the cupcakes into a flower. Pipe the white buttercream onto the cupcakes and smooth over to make one cake.
- Pipe the yellow in the middle and then use a butter knife to carefully score along the icing to create the petals.
- Leave to set and then enjoy!
