Daisy Flower Pull-apart Cupcake Cake

May 5, 2023

🌼 Daisy Pull-apart Cupcakes Cake 🌼 I cannot resist anything floral shaped 😂 7 cupcakes put together to make a flower and then iced as one! You could make a few flowers and pop on a cake board as an excellent alternative to cutting up slices of birthday cake 🎂

Daisy Flower Pull-apart Cupcake Cake

Servings: 7 people

Ingredients

For the cakes:

  • 110 g softened butter
  • 110 g caster sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp milk

For the buttercream:

  • 250 g salted butter
  • 500 g icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • yellow food colouring

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and fill a cupcake tray with 7 cases.
  • Whisk together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and the flour and mix. Finally add the vanilla extract.
  • Spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases and bake for 15 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Leave too cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, make your buttercream, by creaming together the butter and icing sugar. You will need to use an electric whisk. Add the milk and vanilla. Separate off a small amount of mixture and add yellow food colouring.
  • Arrange the cupcakes into a flower. Pipe the white buttercream onto the cupcakes and smooth over to make one cake.
  • Pipe the yellow in the middle and then use a butter knife to carefully score along the icing to create the petals.
  • Leave to set and then enjoy!
